Synthesia, Vidnoz, Creatify, Arcads, MakeUGC, Higgsfield and Avatrix are all HeyGen alternatives, and the right pick depends on what you make: avatar videos for a company, ads at volume or an influencer for social media. Currency won't decide it: every pricing page we could open on October 29, 2026 lists prices in US dollars, and Avatrix bills its plans in dollars too. What sets them apart is what each tool is built for and what happens to the credits you don't use.
This post comes from the Avatrix team, and Avatrix is on the list. That's why the order isn't a ranking: it runs from the tool most similar to HeyGen (an avatar talking to the camera) to the most different one (an AI influencer), and Avatrix comes last, judged by the same criteria as the others.

5. MakeUGC: UGC ads with AI actors and a $1 trial
MakeUGC is the HeyGen alternative for UGC-style ads, the kind of video where a person talks about the product as if they were a customer. The homepage says "Create winning video ads with AI", and the site mentions more than a thousand actors.
- Trial: there's no free plan, but you can try any plan for $1.
- Paid (billed annually): Starter at $29 a month, Growth at $39 and Pro at $79. Monthly billing prices don't appear on the page. Source: makeugc.ai/pricing
- Credits: renew every month and don't accumulate.
It's worth it if you want to test the UGC format in ads on a small budget. The difference between a stock actor and an influencer of your own is in Avatrix vs MakeUGC.
6. Higgsfield: AI creative suite, with an API
Higgsfield is the broadest HeyGen alternative on the list: the site calls itself an "AI-native creative suite" and has sections for AI influencers, video, images and an API.

Avatrix is the HeyGen alternative for anyone who wants an AI influencer of their own, with the same face in every photo and video. It's a Brazilian platform with its interface in English, Spanish and Portuguese, more than 15 tools in a single account, image models such as Reference and AI Image 6, and video models such as AI Video 1, AI Video 5 and AI Video 7. Beyond photos, it makes UGC videos (the influencer talking to the camera or reviewing a product) and copies dances and moves from a reference video.
- Free plan: none, and no free trial either. The no-subscription way in is an extra credit pack, paid once by card.
- Plans: monthly, in US dollars, paid by card. Current prices are at avatrix.io/pricing.
- Credits: credits from one-time packs don't expire.
It's worth it if your work is an influencer profile for Reels, TikTok and TikTok Shop, with voices in English, Spanish or Portuguese and voice cloning. For a company presenter who talks for several minutes straight, HeyGen and Synthesia were built for exactly that. The head-to-head comparison is in Avatrix or HeyGen, and the step-by-step for creating the influencer is in the guide to creating a faceless AI influencer.
What happens to leftover credits each month?
Almost every tool on the list charges in credits, and the rule for leftover credits matters as much as the price. It's the difference between paying for what you used and paying for a month that's already gone.
| Tool | Leftover credits (per the official page) |
|---|---|
| HeyGen | On the monthly plan, they roll over to the next month once |
| Synthesia | Reset every billing cycle |
| Vidnoz | Don't carry over to the next month |
| Creatify | Expire after 2 months |
| MakeUGC | Renew every month and don't accumulate |
| Higgsfield | On individual plans, reset every billing cycle |
| Avatrix | Credits from one-time packs don't expire |
Source: the FAQ on each tool's pricing page, checked October 29, 2026; Higgsfield's comes from its help center, updated September 14, 2026. Arcads is left out because we couldn't find its rule.
When to stay with HeyGen
To be honest, for a lot of people the best HeyGen alternative is HeyGen itself. For testing, its free plan gives you 3 videos a month with no card, and that's cheaper than any paid entry on this list, Avatrix's credit packs included. On top of that, monthly subscribers' leftover credits still roll over to the next month once.
Switch tools when the reason is concrete: your videos are ads at volume (Creatify, Arcads, MakeUGC), company training that needs a different kind of plan (Synthesia), or a social media influencer who needs the same face in every photo and video (Avatrix).
How to choose the right alternative
Start with the type of video, not the price. For a company presenter, compare Synthesia and Vidnoz. For ads, test Creatify, MakeUGC and Arcads with the same script. For a social media influencer, compare Higgsfield and Avatrix. Then price out a typical month of use in your own currency and check the leftover-credit rule: that's what decides how much you really pay at the end of the month.
If your pick is an AI influencer with a consistent face, you can get to know Avatrix and see the plans.
