An AI influencer doesn't get a salary. She earns what her audience generates: affiliate commissions, brand deals, platform creator programs and her own products. Almost every profile starts at zero, and the famous cases that talk about thousands of euros a month have a team behind them.
This guide comes from the Avatrix team, which sells a tool for creating AI influencers. That's why it doesn't promise income. It shows where the money comes from, with each program's official rules, a formula to run your own numbers and what it costs to keep the character going. Every rule was checked on the official page on October 29, 2026, and is linked. Several of those rules and commission rates are from Brazil, where Avatrix was born, and are labeled that way: in other countries, the rules and rates are different. Every example number is hypothetical and marked as such.
Where does an AI influencer's money come from?
From the same four sources as a human creator. The character doesn't get tired and doesn't charge a fee. On the other hand, she has no known face and no track record, and that weighs on sales.
| Source | How it pays | What you need to get in |
|---|---|---|
| TikTok Shop affiliate (Brazil) | Commission per sale, at a rate set by the seller | Age 18+ and 1,000 followers (TikTok Shop Academy Brazil) |
| Amazon affiliate (Brazil) | 7% to 13% of the purchase, depending on category | Sign-up for Amazon Associados (rules) |
| Shopee affiliate (Brazil) | Commission per valid sale | A Shopee account and program sign-up (official page) |
| Brand deals | Fee negotiated per post or campaign | An audience the brand cares about |
| TikTok Creator Rewards Program | Per 1,000 qualified views | 10,000 followers and 100,000 views in 30 days (Help Center) |
| YouTube Partner Program | A share of ad revenue | 1,000 subscribers and 4,000 watch hours, or 10 million Shorts views (Help Center) |
| Your own products | The full margin on each sale | An audience that trusts the character |

How much do TikTok Shop, Shopee and Amazon affiliate commissions pay in Brazil?
On TikTok Shop Brazil, the rate is "set by the merchant." The commission is the commission base times the rate, and the base is what the buyer paid plus the platform subsidy. In the Academy's own example, in Brazilian reais, a R$100 purchase with a R$10 subsidy becomes a R$110 base. At a 10% rate, the commission is R$11. The money is only released after the seller's order is settled, and an order canceled before shipping or refunded pays nothing (Affiliate commission for creators, in Portuguese, checked on October 29, 2026). TikTok doesn't publish an official rate range.
On Amazon Brazil, the table is public and fixed by category (Standard Commission Rules, in Portuguese, checked on October 29, 2026):
| Amazon Brazil category | Commission |
|---|---|
| Beauty, Health & Personal Care, Baby, Food & Beverages | 13% |
| Clothing, Pet Supplies | 11% |
| Books and eBooks | 10% |
| Amazon Devices (Echo, Fire TV and Kindle) | 9.5% |
| Home, Kitchen, Sports, Toys, Electronics, Cell Phones, Computers | 8% |
| Shoes, Handbags, Jewelry, Watches, Automotive and Other | 7% |
Amazon Brazil's commission applies to Qualifying Revenue, which excludes shipping, taxes and discounts. Payment goes out about 60 days after the end of the month (Commission Rules, checked on October 29, 2026).
On Shopee Brazil, the program's official page mentions "attractive commissions for every valid sale" but doesn't include a percentage table (checked on October 29, 2026). Check the product's rate in your affiliate dashboard before you film it.
If you're not in Brazil, these rates don't apply to you: look up the affiliate program in your country, because the rules and commissions are different.
How much does a brand deal pay?
In Brazil, there's no public rate card for sponsored posts, for human or AI creators. The fee comes from negotiation and depends on audience, niche and deliverables. One of the few public numbers is Aitana López's: just over 1,000 euros per ad, according to Euronews (checked on October 29, 2026).
For an AI influencer, two things change:
- Some brands say no. According to Wall Street Journal reporting cited by Affiverse in July 2026, SharkNinja warned affiliates they would lose their commission if they promoted its products with AI content, and Rare Beauty said it doesn't work with AI-generated creators (checked on October 29, 2026). A brand's rule can be stricter than the platform's.
- Sponsored posts must be disclosed. In Brazil, the influencer guide from CONAR, the country's advertising self-regulation council, published in May 2026, covers ad disclosure and the use of AI in advertising. There, a paid post carries an ad disclosure, whether the influencer is human or AI. Wherever you are, check your local disclosure rules.
Does TikTok's Creator Rewards Program pay AI influencers?
It can, if the account meets the rules. The program is available in Brazil, according to TikTok Creator Academy; in other countries, availability and requirements can vary. It requires a personal account, age 18 or older, 10,000 followers, 100,000 views in the last 30 days and videos at least 1 minute long (TikTok Help Center, checked on October 29, 2026). A video only starts earning after 1,000 qualified views from the For You feed. TikTok doesn't publish a fixed rate per 1,000 views.
The biggest hurdle for an AI influencer is originality. The program asks for "original, high-quality" content, and looping videos, still photos or just text over an image don't count as original. The page doesn't address AI directly. In practice, a character with her own script and fresh scenes has a shot. A slideshow of generated images doesn't.
Two more rules affect the math. Sponsored videos aren't eligible for the program, and paid or promoted views don't count. In other words: the same video can't earn from a brand deal and from rewards, and boosting it doesn't increase the reward.
What about YouTube? Does it pay AI influencer channels?
It does, if the channel gets into the YouTube Partner Program. To share ad revenue, a channel needs 1,000 subscribers and 4,000 watch hours on long-form videos in the last 365 days, or 10 million Shorts views in 90 days. With 500 subscribers, three uploads in 90 days and 3,000 hours (or 3 million Shorts views), the channel unlocks fan funding features like channel memberships (YouTube Partner Program, checked on October 29, 2026). You also need to live in a country or region where the program is available.
The AI rule is in the monetization policies (checked on October 29, 2026). Three points matter:
- On July 15, 2025, YouTube renamed its "repetitious content" policy to "inauthentic content."
- It doesn't monetize "AI-generated content made with generic or unoriginal templates giving the impression of mass production."
- A channel with an AI persona that gives health, financial or legal advice doesn't get monetized. The page's own example is an AI "doctor" providing medical diagnoses, health advice or wellness remedies.
Using AI to edit your scripts or generate a unique background is still allowed.
Do your own products work for an AI influencer?
They do, and it's the highest-margin source, because the sale isn't split with a store or a brand. Think ebooks, courses, paid communities and presets. In the niche AI influencer guide, the largest health profile analyzed sells an ebook and a paid community.
The limit is trust. Your own product only sells once the audience already believes in the character. And she can't pose as an expert: YouTube cuts monetization for AI personas that give health advice, and TikTok Shop's rules in Brazil ban fake professional identities created with AI.
How do you calculate how much an AI influencer can make?
For affiliate commissions, the math has five numbers:
Monthly commission = views × click-through rate × conversion rate × average order value × commission rate- Views: how many times your product videos were watched that month.
- Click-through rate: out of every 100 people who watched, how many tapped the product.
- Conversion rate: out of every 100 who tapped, how many bought.
- Average order value: the average amount of each purchase.
- Commission rate: the percentage the seller or program pays.
The three scenarios below are a hypothetical example, in Brazilian reais (R$), like the Brazilian programs above. The click-through and conversion rates were chosen to illustrate the math; they aren't market averages. Swap in the numbers from your affiliate dashboard, in your own currency, once you have 30 days of data.
| Hypothetical example (R$) | Scenario A: starting out | Scenario B: consistency | Scenario C: a video that took off |
|---|---|---|---|
| Views per month | 30,000 | 300,000 | 1,000,000 |
| Click-through rate | 1% | 1.5% | 2% |
| Product clicks | 300 | 4,500 | 20,000 |
| Conversion rate | 2% | 3% | 3% |
| Sales | 6 | 135 | 600 |
| Average order value | R$60 | R$80 | R$90 |
| Total sales | R$360 | R$10,800 | R$54,000 |
| Commission rate | 10% | 12% | 12% |
| Gross monthly commission | R$36 | R$1,296 | R$6,480 |
What the math shows:
- At first, the influencer costs more than she earns. Scenario A pays R$36, less than the cheapest plan of any tool.
- Commission rate and order value matter as much as reach. Swapping a 6% product for a 12% one at the same order value doubles your commission without a single extra view.
- The real number is lower. On TikTok Shop Brazil, a canceled or refunded order wipes out the commission on that sale. And Scenario C depends on a video going viral, which nobody controls.
How much does it cost to run an AI influencer?
There are three costs: the tool, your time and, if you want, ads.
| Cost | How much | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Tool (Avatrix) | Creator, Pro or Ultimate monthly plans, in US dollars by card, with 827, 1,881 or 3,648 credits. Without a subscription, one-time credit packs whose credits don't expire. No free trial | Current prices on the pricing page |
| Video with voice | 157 credits per 10-second video in the July 2026 test: 7 for the image and 150 for the video | The generate button shows the cost before you spend |
| Time | Script, generation, review, posting and replying to comments | Hypothetical example: 40 minutes per video × 30 videos = 20 hours a month |
| Ads | Optional | Paid views don't count toward TikTok's Creator Rewards Program |
At the cost measured in July, the Creator plan's credits cover about 5 ten-second videos with voice a month, Pro's about 12 and Ultimate's about 23. A shorter video or a cheaper model costs less: the Creator plan advertises up to 26 HD videos that copy movements from a reference. The full test, with the prompt and the cost of each step, is in the niche AI influencer guide.
How many sales pay for the tool? A hypothetical example, in reais: with a R$80 product and a 10% commission, each sale pays R$8. Take your plan's monthly price, convert it to the same currency and divide it by what each sale pays you: that's how many sales you need each month just to break even on the tool, not counting your time.
And taxes? Commission is income. In Brazil, Amazon may withhold taxes and requires a CPF or CNPJ (the individual and company tax IDs) to pay you, and TikTok Shop asks for a CPF during creator verification. Other countries have their own tax rules. Talk to an accountant before your income grows.
How much do famous AI influencers make?
Less than the internet suggests, and with a team behind them. These are the two cases with numbers published in the press:
| Case | Public figure | Source | What the figure doesn't show |
|---|---|---|---|
| Aitana López (Spain) | Up to 10,000 euros in one month, averaging around 3,000. Just over 1,000 euros per ad. She had 343,000 Instagram followers at the time | Euronews, November 2023 report updated in December 2024 | The figure came from her creators and isn't audited. According to the report, the income came from sponsored posts and subscriptions on a paid-content platform. She's made by an agency, with designers and a social media manager |
| Lil Miquela (US) | Brud, the company that owns the character, was raising $20 million to $30 million at a valuation of at least $125 million | TechCrunch, January 2019, based on sources close to the round | A valuation isn't income. In 2021, Dapper Labs acquired Brud along with its entire 32-person team, according to TechCrunch |
Sources checked on October 29, 2026.
Both cases are agency or startup businesses, with a team, investment and years of posting. They're the exception, not the average. Use them as a reference ceiling, never as a goal for your first month.
What determines whether an AI influencer makes money?
Seven things, and the first one rules out a lot of people before the first post:
- A niche with products that sell and that the rules allow. Electronics, beauty and health are among TikTok Shop's top categories in Brazil, according to a June 2026 review by Brazilian marketing outlet Meio & Mensagem. But TikTok Shop's rules in Brazil don't allow promoting weight-loss products and restrict medical claims (Content Policy, checked on October 29, 2026). In another country, check the local policy.
- Consistent reach. Views are the first number in the formula. Without frequent posts, the other four don't move.
- Honest demos. Conversion comes from showing the product as it is. On TikTok Shop Brazil, an AI video that exaggerates the product can cost you your commission payout.
- Order value and commission. A cheap product with a low commission needs a lot of volume to pay for the tool.
- Cost per video. Know what each video costs before you plan 30 a month.
- Platform rules. AI label on, original content and no character posing as an expert.
- More than one source. Rules change. YouTube changed its policy in July 2025, and TikTok Shop's AI rule in Brazil is dated September 2026.
Before you think about income, the character needs to exist with the same face in every post. The step-by-step is in the guide to creating an AI influencer without showing your face. And if TikTok Shop is your way in, the AI influencer affiliate walkthrough covers the rules and the workflow from product to video.
Checklist: is your AI influencer ready to monetize?
- The niche has products for sale on TikTok Shop, Shopee or Amazon, and your country's program allows them (TikTok Shop Brazil, for example, bans weight-loss products).
- You meet your country's affiliate requirements (in Brazil, TikTok Shop asks for age 18+ and 1,000 followers) or have a plan to get there.
- The video shows the product exactly as listed, without changing its color, size or results.
- The AI label is on, and the bio says she's an AI character.
- The character doesn't present herself as a doctor, nutritionist or any other expert.
- You know what each video costs and how many fit in your plan.
- You've run the math with your own numbers: views × clicks × conversion × order value × commission.
- Paid posts are disclosed as advertising.
- You've set a test period and a maximum spend before you start.

Frequently asked questions
There's no fixed amount. Income depends on reach, niche, commission rates and consistency, and almost every profile starts at zero. The case with figures published in the press is Spain's Aitana López: up to 10,000 euros in one month, averaging around 3,000 euros, according to her creators speaking to Euronews. It's an agency case, with a team, not the average.
In Brazil, yes: TikTok Shop's rules there allow AI-generated content as long as it's honest and labeled. You're the one who signs up as the affiliate: in Brazil, you must be 18 or older, have 1,000 followers on the account and pass verification with a CPF (Brazil's individual taxpayer ID) and an ID document. In other countries, the rules and requirements are different.
It can, if the channel meets the YouTube Partner Program requirements and the content isn't considered inauthentic. YouTube doesn't pay for AI-generated content made with generic templates that gives the impression of mass production, or for channels with an AI persona giving health, financial or legal advice.
The Creator Rewards Program is available in Brazil, and TikTok's help page asks for a personal account, age 18 or older, 10,000 followers, 100,000 views in 30 days and videos at least 1 minute long, with original content. Sponsored videos aren't eligible, and paid views don't count. In other countries, availability and requirements can vary.
Avatrix has monthly plans in US dollars, paid by card, plus one-time credit packs with no subscription whose credits don't expire; current prices are on the pricing page. There's no free trial. In the July 2026 test, a 10-second video with voice cost 157 credits. Add your time and, if you want, ads.
Not necessarily. In Brazil, TikTok Shop asks for a CPF (individual taxpayer ID) and an ID document during creator verification, and Amazon pays into an account tied to a CPF or a CNPJ (company registration number). Commission is income, so it's worth talking to an accountant about taxes. Outside Brazil, tax and payout rules are different.
